John Disher

John has been collaborating with Joanne Hock, founder of the GreyHawk Films, for more than 18 years. He continues to work with the team in the capacity of editor, cameraman and cinematographer. But he's also a proven and talented director. John's hands-on knowledge of all aspects of film has sharpened his storytelling skills and, as a bit of a bonus, earned him several prestigious awards.

He is a multiple Emmy award nominee for directing and editing Laugh at Us, an original GreyHawk Films documentary airing on PBS for several years. John also earned accolades for feature documentaries, Emma's Gift, and Frontiers Yet Unknown: The History of Warren Wilson College.

Despite his wry sense of humor, John has a soft spot for 'cause.' Non-profit clients include The ARC, LifeSpan, Residential Support Services, Salvation Army and the United Way.

Philosophically, John embraces the belief that editing makes him a better shooter; shooting makes him a better editor. His diverse body of award winning work includes commercials, corporate videos, feature work, television and documentaries.
